Dymond Elise Mensah is a Spelman College graduate. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law. Dymond Elise is a former account executive with AT&T, who has lobbied with the late Senator Edward Kennedy and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson and is a current National Advocacy Alliance spokesperson for the Susan Komen Foundation.
Dymond Elise is currently an Assistant District Attorney with the Travis County District Attorney's Office. Through this role she has serviced her local community not only in juvenile law, but also as a felony prosecutor as well. She decided to become a prosecutor in hopes of providing justice to those impacted by crime, while also providing diversity in area that is often lacking.
In Dymond Elise's spare time, she enjoys reading, watching sports with her husband, Kwame Mensah, spoiling her three dogs (aka "furbabbies"), mentoring younger girls, and volunteering with her personal platform: Make An Impact of a Lifetime: Through Breast Cancer Awareness. Having her maternal and paternal family impacted, along with being a survivor she has learned first hand of the importance of educating others and fighting for a cure. She currently fights for a cure as an International Lay Ambassador for the Global Promise Fund, who travels the World serving underserved communities who are heavily impacted by the disease. This is a cause that she has dedicated her life to.
